I'm not actually referring to beauty and people, but it's true of that too. I'm talking about what to wear under your wedding dress.
Girls, when you purchased your dress, did you think about undergarments first? I sure as heck didn't. And let me tell you, it has been a difficult search. Here are some pictures of my dress so that you will understand my difficulty.
Hello exposed back. So basically I needed something strapless and backless. Backless? I know, right. Well I didn't have any luck when searching, so I turned to the ladies of the Weddingbee hive and one lady pointed me in the direction of Her Room and this particular undergarment:
With a couple clicks this slip was mine in a few days time. Of course as soon as it came in the mail I took the opportunity to try on my dress one more time, but with this slip underneath.
Hmmm, I don't like it. It's got this sticky stuff on the cups that's supposed to hold it up. It wasn't really working. It seems like it sags a bit. So I decided to see if I could find other options.
I recently decided to pop into JC Penney (I was actually on the hunt for something sexy for my upcoming boudoir shoot) and found this:
I thought, yeah, this looks like a better option. So I bought the shorts thing at only $25. Score! I haven't purchased the bra part yet but plan to in the next couple days. I think this is a much better option for me, and will be much more comfortable under my dress on the big day!
Here's my other issue. If any of you have worn a backless dress or just have some kind of creative, genius idea please share. A lot of times my bras make lines or indentations in my back. What do I wear the day off the wedding before I get into my dress so that I can avoid lines? Do I just wear that NuBra the whole day?
Next up: What's underneath is not to be seen by the groom...A Change of Wardrobe!
Did you have a difficult time shopping for your undergarment? Or are you able to wear your "something special" for your groom under your dress the whole day?
